Acts5:19 But the angel of the Lord
by night opened the prison doors and brought them forth...
Genesis 32:1 So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
GUARDIAN ANGELS
A guardian angel is an angel who is appointed to a human for all their life, giving continuing guidance, protection
and friendship. Guardian angels are especially striking in the Catholic religion. Guardian angels are not
explicitly named in the Bible; however the idea of individual, personal angels is set in numerous passages of the Bible. In
Genesis 32:1-2, it clearly states: So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. When Jacob saw them, he said,
This is God's camp. And he called the name of that place Manhanaim (meaning Double Camp). This passage suggests that Jacob
had guardian angels defending him on his trip. In Psalm 91:11-13, we read; For He shall give His angels charge over
thee to keep thee in all thy ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall
tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Genesis 22:11-12 But the
Angel of
the Lord
called to him from Heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "Here I am." And He said, "Do
not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, for you have not withheld your son,
your only son, from Me."
