Angel Facts

Angels are wise
Of course we know that they have to be to be able to communicate using telepathy. They are also curious which makes them intelligent, as a baby learns through his curiosity.

 1 Peter 1:12
To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven-things which angels desire to look into.

2 Samuel 14:20

To bring about this change of affairs your servant Joab has done this thing; but my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of the angel of God, to know everything that is in the earth.

2 Samuel 14:17

Your maidservant said, "The word of my lord the king will now be comforting; for and the angel of God, so is my lord the king discerning good and evil. And may the Lord your God be with you."

Ephesians 3:8-12
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
They do not know all things as Matthew shows us.

Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

Angels are mighty
2 Thessalonians 1:7
...and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels... Psalm 103:20 Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Even the names for angels(powers, dominions, principalities)suggest this. Their actions, their occasional appearance in Scripture as heavenly hosts, and the fear their coming sometimes elicits all testify to their might.
Revelation 7:1
After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. But angels are not daunted by the things that frighten us. That should encourage us.

Angels Will Hear the Aknowledgements of Christ
Luke 12:8-9
Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

Angels Experience Emotions
Job 38:7
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Isaiah 6:2-3
Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of His glory!

Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Angels, like God, are not cold and impassive.

Angels are holy
Mark 8:38
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

Angels were created by God
Psalm 148:2 & 5
Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For He commanded and they were created.

Angels do not marry.
Matthew 22:30

For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.

Angels
will be judged by humans
1 Corinthians 6:3
Do you know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things pertain to life.

Angels are happy when a sinner is saved.
Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

Angels Are Immortal
Since angels were created, and definately had a beginning, as we all do, the scripture   clearly states that angels live eternally.

Luke 20:35-36

But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
They are always alive to serve God and, as he wills, serve us.

Angels do not know the hour of Christ's return.
Angels are in Heaven.

Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

Angels
are co-workers with humans
Angels are not to be worshiped

Revelation 22:8-9
Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

Angels Number Beyond Our Counting

Deuteronomy 33:2
And he said:
  "The Lord came from Sinai,
  And dawned on them from Seir;
He shone forth from Mound Paran,
  And He came with ten thoundands of saints;
  From His right hand
Came a fiery law for them.

Hebrews 12:22-24

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an unnumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
There is no shortage of God's messengers and servants.

Angels Have A Certain Humility
They are not arrogant or reckless.

Jude 9
Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

Revelation12:7

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,....
Even with all their power, the angels are often charged with the acquistion of their duties.   Revelation 12:7, and Daniel 10:13 are perfect examples.

Daniel 10:13
And he said, "O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!" So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me."
If angels, who daily see God, know their place, must we not remember ours?
